I have to admit, the elites in my country had it right when it comes to treating the Philippines.
“Treat this place as a tourist destination, then reach your full potential in it then get out.”
of course you can enjoy and still be proud, but to REALLY fix this country from the inside out also means sacrificing your fullest potential, especially when the world has a lot to offer.
The truth of the matter is that everything in the country is corrupt.
Of course theres a handful few who aren’t, but the roots of corruption runs very deep that it already became a part of culture.
The only thing perhaps that could fix it is if it fights a common enemy, and then after winning the next in power will not fuck the entire thing up. Like what Cory Aquino’s government did when it failed to fix the teaching of history, and when Fidel Ramos allowed the return to the country of the Marcoses.
But to say that there aren’t any “good” thing that is happening in the country is outright wrong.
There are those people who are more than happy to dedicate their lives for the betterment of the entire nation, unfortunately it isn’t enough.
I’ve been trying to look for another country that has the same history as ours and perhaps could be an understudy for development.
But right now, the most intelligent thing one can do is to get out of the country especially if you’re poor.
Unless if you’re rich then use your money to fix this darn country.
Anyway those are my thoughts on the matter, and I realize it’s better to write here than post on Facebook where fake news abound and there’s nothing Mark Zuckerberg can do to fix it.

Qasem Soleimani, and people from the left are mad because they are afraid that it could spark World War III.
A number of them didn’t even bother asking why he was killed and if it is true that he is a mastermind of terrorist groups.
I mean bitch please?! You mean to say that he’s bigger than Osama Bin laden?
I mean before you guys judge anything, all I’m saying is ask the right questions.
I mean just read about the following below and perhaps you’ll have an idea why the U.S. murdered him.
On 4 January, the funeral procession for Suleimani was held in Baghdad with thousands of mourners in attendance, waving Iraqi and militia flags[108] and chanting “death to America, death to Israel”.The procession started at the Al-Kadhimiya Mosque in Baghdad. Iraq’s prime minister, Adel Abdul-Mahdi, and leaders of Iran-backed militias attended the funeral procession. Soleimani ‘s body was taken to the holy Shia cities of Karbala and Najaf. – from Wikipedia
In this note I leave you with a podcast from Sam Harris and his take on Israel, then perhaps you will get an idea why “these people” hate Israel.
